Torii supports EPUB (light novels and eBooks), PDF, plain TXT, Markdown (.md), SRT and ASS subtitle files, DOCX (Microsoft Word), PPTX (PowerPoint presentations) and XLSX (Excel spreadsheets). You can translate multiple files at once in a single session.
Can I translate Japanese light novels or web novels?
Yes. Torii was built for the manga and fan-translation community and handles Japanese, Korean and Chinese fiction well, including honorifics, character speech styles and cultural nuance. Upload a light novel as an EPUB or a web novel as TXT and download it translated into any of 140+ languages, not just English, ready for your e-reader. For DOCX files, paragraph styles, headings, and tables are maintained. PDF translations extract text content and deliver it in a clean, readable format.
